Island of Wak-Wak has a passion to promote genre poetry (a niche within a niche). Thus, we are always trying to find new ways to spread the gospel of speculative poets. Taking inspiration from Cosmic Horror Monthly, we are going to try using Kickstarter with stretch goals to increase the payment to the poets. The project will publish without or without Kickstarter funding, but then there will only be royalties paid to the contributors. The campaign will have four stretch-goal tiers: $100, $200, $500, & $1000 for contributor  payments of $5, $10, $25, and $50 respectively (e.g., if the campaign raises $250, then every contributor will receive a $10 payment instead of royalties). 

We hope to have the book ready to print by the end of the Kickstarter Campaign (October with Halloween in everyone’s minds). 

For this first Kickstarter, we will be having a popular geeky theme of Cthulhu Mythos poetry and art. Submissions that are not on theme will be rejected. Submit exactly 3–8 poems or 3–8 pieces of art. There will only be 20 contributors, but at least 3 pieces will be accepted per contributor.
